A Tiny Grape-Sized Addendum

On the feast of Saint Gerard, the patron of expectant mothers and happy childbirth, I thought I should probably let you know that yesterday's post was missing a very important someone :)

Eden Baby 6.0

(Photo currently unavailable so this stand-in will have to do.)

-is about the size of a grape.
-has made us thrilled, humbled, excited, hormonal, blessed, nauseated, exhausted, grateful, and maybe just liiiittle bit overwhelmed.
-is expected to make his or her appearance sometime mid-May.
-was predicted by big brother David a few weeks before he even knew!  (How crazy/creepy is that?!)
-has already been making his or her presence very well known.  (It's been a rough few weeks, y'all.)
-is already exactly who God wants him or her to be so no, we are still not hoping for a girl. :)
-is already very very loved.

I would absolutely love your prayers and if you have any intentions I can use some of this sickness for, I would love to know them!  (It would actually help a lot so please don't be shy!)

  7. Congrats!!! looking forward to another grandchild. tiny diaper on the grape! Does this mean you are moving?

As a side note - St Gerard is one of my favorite saints because my brother was named after him. Gerry was very sick when he was born in 1950 and due to severe conditions he only lived a few weeks. It was a very severe form of Down's Syndrome. I always felt he led me to be a special ed teacher.

  20. What wonderful news! it is always good to hear news like this. If you are not breastfeeding currently, taking B6 at night with unisom is meant to be very helpful for preventing nausea in the morning. I have not personally tried it but have friends who have. Again a big congratulations and I'll keep you both in my prayers!

  21. Yay! How wonderful! This is so exciting. If you would offer up the intention of my friends who struggle deeply with infertility, it would be most appreciated. I am so excited for you!

many prayers for you and all in the comments
Peppermint is the only thing that helped me - I only felt sick when I had boys (good thing I only did that twice) and I spent a lot of time sucking on peppermints and drinking mint tea.

    hope it gets better soon

  39. You know, when I first read your "boys" post, I thought you were announcing this news and I couldn't figure out why no one in the comments was saying anything. I had to read it again and see that it was still David speaking.(-: How beautiful that he "knew" somehow! And how beautiful that God loves you so much and trusts you so much as to choose you and your husband to be parents again. You'll be in my prayers!

I will be praying for you and your beautiful family as you prepare to welcome another little one!
